JOB SUMMARY

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for carrying out various duties, tasks and responsibilities to ensure machines and equipment are running properly while the machine is in operation, and minimizes the possibility of machine and equipment failures. As a supervisor, they are also responsible for leading and directing the other Maintenance Technicians.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • 2 Years of Tech School preferred

Experience

  • 3+ Year of experience working on die-casting machinery
  • Previous experience supervising employees preferred

Requirements and Certifications

  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office
  • Forklift Certification
  • Formal training in hydraulic power and sub-systems
  • Formal training in machine electrical systems
  • Must be able to communicate in English

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists the Maintenance Manager to improve the Maintenance Department, Premises and Grounds.
  • Supervises Maintenance Personnel and Custodians.
  • Assigns maintenance repair orders to Maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinates building and premises maintenance, including cleaning, repairing and servicing.
  • Coordinates machinery maintenance, including maintenance that requires sub-contractors.
  • Closes and reviews work orders daily for Maintenance personnel into Odyssey.
  • Orders and purchases spare parts for machinery and key equipment.
  • Authorizes overtime for Maintenance, Furnace and Custodial personnel.
  • Assists the Maintenance Manager in conducting and evaluating training for Maintenance and Furnace personnel and Custodians.
  • Generates Preventive Maintenance Work Orders from Odyssey daily and assigns them to the Maintenance Personnel, and closes the Work Orders at the end of the Business Day.
  • Inputs Unscheduled Maintenance Work Orders Daily into Odyssey and Closes at the end of the business day.
  • Reviews the maintenance inventory sign out log and inputs spare parts taken from spare parts inventory into Odyssey on a weekly basis.
  • Assists the Maintenance Manager in assigning Maintenance personnel for unscheduled work orders.
  • Participate in the planning and the installation of all-new machinery and equipment.
  • In the absence of the Maintenance Manager, meets with all department heads to review the previous day's production, including equipment and personnel performance during the DCM Meeting.
  • Qualified as a Lead Auditor for audit planning, execution and corrective action & follow Up
  • Participates annually in the Departmental Satisfaction Survey process.
